According to a Richmond Times Dispatch article, the vehicle involved in the death of a 24 year old Richmond cyclist has been located.
Lanie Kruszewski, a 24-year-old bicyclist from Richmond was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Sunday night while riding her bike home from work along River Road in Richmond’s West End.
Sources told the Times Dispatch that defense attorneys on Tuesday provided Richmond authorities with access to the vehicle that investigators were looking for.
Kruszewski, was hit and apparently dragged over forty feet while riding her bike by a vehicle traveling in the same direction before fleeing the scene.
Police said she her bike was equipped with a headlight and rear flashers. She was wearing a helmet.
According to family members, she was an experienced, safety conscious cyclist.
Lanie graduated from the Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School in 2006 and was a 2011 graduate of JMU.

A memorial ride is scheduled on Sunday, August 5 at 9 pm leaving from the Oregon Hill Overlook. Lights and Helmet are strongly encouraged.
Update
A suspect, Eli Webb, 30, has admitted to police that he was driving the vehicle that killed Kruszewski. Prosecutors plan to ask a grand jury Monday to indict him on a felony hit-and-run charge.
Webb is a advertising salesman for the Richmond Times Dispatch.
According to the latest new reports, Webb had a record of driving infractions.

My husband was killed 4 years this month. He was hit from behind by young woman who was under the influence of marijuana and driving erratically. My heart goes out to Lanie’s family and friends.
My condolences also. another senseless murder.my son and his best friend were hit head-on and killed on june 7th this year. the driver fell asleep and crossed the line. he tested positive for meth. the boys were only 18 and 19. the driver was 42.
I am so sorry for your loss too, Katie. I told the driver [via the judge] that she was selfish in thinking that she could smoke weed and it doesn’t hurt anyone. I also saw a comment on line where someone said that smoking weed doesn’t hurt anyone and told my story. If you get high, don’t drive. If you are sleepy, pull over.
The worst part about this is there’s a built paved pathway that bisects the Virginia Country Club and University of Richmond which or some reason has been closed off. If this was opened, this whole incident could have been avoided, as it connects to a road in UR and a neighborhood that connects to Grove.
