The Facebook rumor mill has turned up a new trail system in southwest Virginia. Round Mountain is in Bland County, off I-77, a few miles north of Bland, about an hour’s drive southwest of Blacksburg. See the Round Mountain Riders Facebook Page. Thanks are due to Joe Wheeler of the US Forest Service, local riders and others who helped make this happen. Sweet trails! Been down from PA a few times now and each time I find a new section that the forest crew completed.
FYI – It’s Jon Wheeler (I worked on the trail crew for a summer, he’s the man)
Awesome trail system. My son and I have completed Genesis loop.
Been back several trips. Awesome trail system. All trails are marked and easy to follow.
