Fall 2007 Commonwealth Transportation Board Meetings, 10-09 to 11-13

Each fall and spring, Virginia’s Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB)
holds a series of public hearings around Virginia to solicit citizen
input on transportation projects, programs, and policies. A strong
presence of bicyclists at these hearings will help advance a more
bicycling-friendly Virginia.

Please put your local meeting on your calendar now, and consider the
Virginia Bicycling Federation’s current white paper (at
[http://vabike.org] when drafting your verbal and written statements.

COMMONWEALTH TRANSPORTATION BOARD SETS PUBLIC MEETINGS FOR UPDATING
SIX-YEAR IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

RICHMOND–Nine public meetings will be held throughout the state this
fall so that citizens may review and comment on potential (“candidate”)
transportation projects and programs to be included in the Commonwealth
Transportation Board’s (CTB) Six-Year Improvement Program for Fiscal

representatives of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and

projects and programs will emphasize improvements to Virginia’s
