BikeSwell - Smart Movement in Arlington, Virginia

From Arlington BAC Vice Chair Megan Jones:

“Wanted to let you know about an event Bike Arlington and the Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee are having on October 10th at the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse. It is THE movie event of the year — the world-premiere screening of BikeSwell — Smart Movement in Arlington, Virginia — followed by a panel discussion by some of the area cycling experts. Details are below.

At the event, we will have info tables set-up to share information for local cycling groups, clubs, BAC’s, etc. to share information. I invite you to bring whatever handouts or event flyers you have for your organization to place on this table. If you send a representative, we’ll also have name tags available for folks to identify themselves as being part of your group. We are hoping to attract cyclists (newbies and veterans) from all around the DC area so this is a great opportunity to help increase awareness of your group and any of your upcoming events or advocacy efforts.

Tickets are free of charge (with a $5 suggested donation going to Phoenix Bikes) and are available here at: http://bikeswellmovie.eventbrite.com/

Also, please feel free to spread the word about this event! I look forward to seeing you there.”

BikeArlington, in partnership with the Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee, presents the “bike-umentary” of the year: BikeSwell — Smart Movement in Arlington, Virginia.

This film features local bike advocacy rock stars and highlights the triumphs and tribulations of making Arlington a premiere bicycle friendly community. Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Arlington Cinema ‘N’ Drafthouse 2903 Columbia Pike Arlington, VA 22204

There will be prizes raffled off after the film, donated by BikeArlington, the League of American Bicyclists, WABA and New Belgium Brewery.
